However, the afternoon wave saw another contender rise to the challenge. Jeff Burton, hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona, made a remarkable ascent up the leaderboard. Shooting a solid 5 under par, Burton managed to match Murphy's total score of 13 under par, setting the stage for an exciting showdown in the final rounds.
