All Pro Tour Heads To Lake Charles For the High Stakes Showdown

Lake Charles, LA - The All Pro Tour is rounding out the 2025 season in Lake Charles, Louisiana for the High Stakes Showdown presented by L’Auberge Casino Resort and Lake Charles Sports Authority Key (Nov. 19-21).

This first-ever event, hosted at Contraband Bayou Golf Club, will feature a dynamic new format that blends 54-hole stroke play with a dramatic, single-elimination “high-stakes” finale.

The opening two rounds will follow traditional APT stroke-play structure, after which the field will be cut to the top 30%. All players who advance will earn a check. The 54-hole winner will take home $20,000, but the true excitement centers on securing one of the coveted Top Ten spots, granting entry into the Showdown.

“The APT is excited to be in Lake Charles for this new event. The format of this showdown is unlike any tournament we’ve had before on the APT and we couldn’t think of a better place than Contraband Bayou Golf Club to host this exciting week,” said Abai O’Neill, Tournament Manager.

Once in the Showdown, the format will be a single elimination horserace played over nine holes, with one competitor being eliminated after each hole. Players will have the opportunity to buy one back-in on the first three holes, but buy-ins will stop when we get to the 4th elimination hole. Elimination ties will be decided by a variety of chips, putts and pitches. Should there be a tie on the final hole, we will replay the final hole until we crown a Showdown Champion, in which will award a $50,000 check.
